Forged Wheels FAQ: Straight Answers

A forged wheel is machined from a forged aluminium blank whose grain structure has been compressed under press pressure — which makes it stronger and lighter than a cast wheel of the same strength. More than 70% of the material is removed between billet and finished wheel. Ours are machined from forged 6061-T6 aerospace-grade blanks.

6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminium as standard, with magnesium AZ80 as an option for lightweight builds. Carbon fibre exists here only as a decorative overlay on the wheel lip — we do not sell carbon fibre wheels, and we'd rather tell you that than sell you the word.

A monoblock is machined from a single forged blank — lightest and stiffest. A 2-piece bolts a machined centre into a rim section, adding fitment flexibility. A 3-piece is a bolted sandwich of lip, centre and barrel — deep-dish styling, and a damaged lip or barrel is a replacement part, not a write-off.

Beadlock wheels mechanically clamp the tyre bead to the rim so the tyre cannot slip at the very low pressures off-road driving runs. We build forged off-road and beadlock wheels with load ratings above the passenger range — on the drawing, and engraved.

No. Blanks are bought from specialist forging houses — as they are by almost every wheel brand, because a wheel-capable forging press is among the largest capital equipment in this industry. We specify the alloy, inspect every blank before it is cut, and machine it at our group's plant.

Three reasons: the forged blank costs more than a casting; CNC machining removes more than 70% of it at roughly 0.02" per cut; and a custom order carries per-order engineering — a drawing, fitment checks, individual QC. Material, machine time and attention — not a brand markup.

Send your vehicle and specs — size, PCD, ET, CB, quantity, finish, destination port. We reply with pricing and a drawing showing size, offset, centre bore and load rating. Nothing is cut until you approve that drawing. Then production, two inspections, serial engraving, shipping with the QC record.

Diameter 15–26", width 5–16", offset engineered to your vehicle, centre bore machined to your hub (no spigot rings), plus finish, lip depth, engraving, custom caps and 3D milled logos. Mixed sizes, widths and offsets in one order are accepted.

We don't guess fitment from a database and call it a guarantee. Instead, every order gets a drawing, and production only starts after you approve it — fitment is agreed on paper before any metal is cut. The fitment guide shows how to measure PCD, ET and CB in about 30 minutes.

Yes — worldwide from Chongqing, China, on EXW, FOB or CIF terms under HS code 8708.70, with commercial invoice and packing list included.

Yes. Mixed sizes, widths and offsets in one order are accepted, and MOQ is 4 pcs — one set. Each wheel is engraved with its size, offset, centre bore, load rating and serial number, so a staggered set cannot be mixed up on fitting.

ISO and IATF 16949 — held by the plant that machines the wheels, not by FlexiTech International LLC, and we state that distinction openly rather than wave a badge. Copies on request; third-party inspection such as TÜV available per order.

Every part is inspected twice — by whoever made it, then by us. Every wheel is 100% runout tested to under 0.01", key dimensions held to ±0.05 mm, and each wheel carries an engraved serial number tied to its QC record, with photos or video on request.

Two layers, stated plainly. Structure: a 3-year warranty against cracks. Deformation or bending is not covered, because it is almost always caused by impact, potholes, accidents, overload or improper use rather than by the wheel itself. Paint and finish: a 1-year warranty against normal finish defects. Not covered: damage from human factors, impact or accident damage, improper installation, competition or off-road abuse beyond the duty the wheel was specified for, and scratches or damage caused during mounting, balancing or local service work. Before shipment you receive finished-wheel photos and video for confirmation — and the drawing you approved before production is the reference every case is judged against.

Yes — we accept refinishing work, and what's possible depends on the current layer type: applied finishes like powder coat strip and redo; anodising strips to bare metal first; polished and brushed rework directly. On 3-piece wheels a damaged lip or barrel is a replacement part. Details on finishes.

Four ways: order a 4 pcs sample set; ask for the QC record with photos or video; check the engraved serial number against that record; commission third-party inspection such as TÜV. The MOQ exists precisely so you can test us at the cost of a set, not a container.

4 pcs — one set — with mixed sizes accepted in the same order. Single lips or barrels for 3-piece repairs are accepted too, with one honest caveat: international freight, customs and duties on a single part routinely cost more than the part, so one-piece orders usually make sense combined with another shipment — details here.

Samples 10–15 working days; production 20–30 working days. Brushed, polished and two-tone add about 5 working days; PVD chrome adds about 15 (the wheels travel to a partner plating plant and back); peak season can add 5 more. The exact date is confirmed on the drawing you approve.

Bank transfer (T/T) is the standard, on a 50/50 structure: half as deposit to schedule production after you approve the drawing, and the balance before shipment. Sample orders can also be paid by PayPal. Every payment is documented with a commercial invoice.

Honestly, in three parts. Before drawing approval: you can cancel at any time, with the design work completed to that point deducted — and switching to an entirely new design is quoted as new design work. After production starts: custom wheels cannot be refunded, because the blank has been cut for one car only. If a defect is our fault: we remake or credit it — and we have published a real example on the testimonials page, where a PCD error was acknowledged in writing and the set remade at our full production cost.

PCD is the bolt pattern — the circle through the stud centres, written like 5×114.3. ET is the offset in mm from the mounting face to the wheel's centreline. CB is the centre bore that seats on your hub — we machine it to your hub, so no spigot rings. The fitment guide shows how to measure all three.

Yes — less unsprung mass helps range and ride on heavy EVs. The check that matters is load rating: EVs weigh more than their combustion equivalents, so we engineer the rating per vehicle, put it on the drawing you approve, and engrave it on the wheel. Passenger/performance wheels run roughly 690–955 kg each.

Yes — machined spacers and adapters, where anodising (rarely right for car wheels) is genuinely at home as a finish. Send your hub and wheel details with your inquiry and we quote them alongside the wheels.

Concave describes the face — spokes curving inward toward the hub. Deep dish describes the rim — an extended outer lip for the classic stanced look. A wheel can be either or both; both go through the same drawing-approval process.

By layer type. Powder coat and PVD: soap and water, no acidic cleaners. Polished: ships from us bare — no clear coat — so it needs sealing and regular polishing. Anodised: pH-neutral cleaners only. The full breakdown is on the finishes page.
