Inside the Manufacturing Process — How FLEXIFORGED Builds Precision Wheels

Built for Performance. Designed for You.

At FLEXIFORGED, every forged wheel is a product of precision, customization, and engineering discipline. Our customers — from tuning shops to vehicle manufacturers — don’t just need wheels that look good; they need wheels that perform under pressure and fit perfectly out of the box. That’s why our process is built around two things: flexibility and control.

Unlike mass producers, we offer:

  • Low MOQs (as few as 4 wheels per design/spec)
  • Fully customizable options — size, PCD, offset, finish, center cap, engraving, and more
  • Fast lead times with in-house machining and finishing
  • Global B2B support, including documentation, logistics, and inspection reports

If you’re sourcing forged wheels for a car tuning business, a luxury build, or an OEM special series, here’s exactly how we turn raw forged blanks into the wheels that define your brand.

Step-by-Step: Our Forged Wheel Manufacturing Process

Step 1: Forged Blank Sourcing

We begin by sourcing high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum forged blanks from trusted partner mills — including options for monoblock, 2-piece, 3-piece, and off-road applications. Magnesium and aerospace-grade alloys are also available upon request.

Only certified raw materials are accepted — each with traceable material reports.

Step 2: Custom Engineering & CAD Design

Each order starts with customer specifications:

  • Vehicle type and use case
  • Fitment data (PCD, offset, hub bore, etc.)
  • Design style and finish preferences

Our in-house design team creates a fully parametric CAD model, followed by finite element analysis (FEA) to test stress points and optimize strength-to-weight ratios.

🔍 No design goes to machining without CAD approval and virtual load simulation.

Step 3: CNC Machining (Monoblock / Face / Barrels)

We operate over 60 CNC machines including 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers to achieve extreme precision — down to ±0.02mm tolerances.

  • Monoblock Wheels: Entire wheel is cut from a single forged blank.
  • 2-Piece / 3-Piece Wheels: Face and barrels are machined separately, allowing more flexibility in width and offset customization.
  • Off-road / Deep Dish / Directional designs: Achieved with advanced 5-axis setups.

⚙️ Our machinists are trained in automotive-grade tolerance and symmetry control.

Step 4: Drilling, PCD & Hub Bore Processing

Next, we perform precision drilling for:

  • Bolt holes (PCD) — custom to each vehicle or multi-fit
  • Hub bore — exact fit to OEM or aftermarket hubs

PCD patterns such as 5×114.3, 6×139.7, and more can be processed in-house with optional dual-drill configurations.

📐 Runout and concentricity are checked during this stage to ensure fitment integrity.

Step 5: Surface Preparation & Pre-Treatment

Before any color or finish is applied, wheels go through:

  • CNC deburring
  • Hand polishing or brushing (if required)
  • Ultrasonic cleaning
  • Powder pre-coating

This ensures the surface is clean, smooth, and finish-ready.

🧼 This step is essential to avoid defects in the coating or anodizing process.

Step 6: Finishing (Paint, Polishing, Brushing, Anodizing, Chrome)

We offer in-house:

  • Powder coating
  • Liquid painting
  • Brushed and polished finishes

For chrome plating and anodizing, we collaborate with certified third-party finishers who specialize in wheel-grade treatments.

🎨 Color-matching and custom engraving available for brands and private label clients.

Step 7: Quality Inspection & Runout Testing

Before shipping, each wheel undergoes:

  • Visual inspection
  • Dimensional checks
  • Lateral and radial runout tests
  • Balance and weight reports (on request)

QC results are recorded and can be shared with customers as part of pre-shipment inspection documents.

🧾 All wheels are individually tagged with spec labels and batch numbers for traceability.

Step 8: Assembly (For 2-Piece & 3-Piece Wheels)

For multi-piece wheels:

  • Faces, barrels, and lips are manually assembled
  • Sealing is performed using high-grade silicone or sealing rings (optional)
  • Hardware (bolts, rivets, nuts) can be customized in material, color, and style

🔧 Assembly is always torque-verified before packing.

Step 9: Packaging & Shipping

Each wheel is:

  • Foam wrapped and placed in a reinforced box
  • Labelled with size, spec, and order ID
  • Shipped via client-specified method (air or sea freight)

We also provide:

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list
  • CO, Form E or FTA docs
  • Barcode/serial tracking
  • HS codes and pre-clearance help

📦 Bulk orders can be palletized and plastic-wrapped for safe international transit.
