What Information Should I Provide When Ordering Custom Forged Wheels?

When it comes to ordering custom forged wheels, precision is everything.
Unlike cast or flow-formed wheels, forged wheels are machined to your exact specifications — and once production starts, changes aren’t possible.

That’s why I always ask clients to provide a clear set of fitment and design details before we start CNC programming and forging. If you’re not sure what info is needed, don’t worry — this guide will help.

Why Accurate Info Matters

Custom forged wheels are built from raw forged blanks, then machined to order.
Any incorrect or missing spec could result in:

  • Wrong offset or PCD
  • Brake clearance issues
  • Rubbing or tire mismatch
  • Delays or rework costs

As your supplier, I can guarantee perfect results — only if I have the correct input from you.

Information You Should Provide Before Ordering

✅ 1. Vehicle Details

  • Brand, model, and year (e.g. BMW G20 2022, Toyota Hilux 2019)
  • Drive type (RWD / AWD / FWD)
  • Suspension (stock / lowered / air suspension)

This helps us determine OEM specs and check for brake clearance or fender limitations.

✅ 2. Wheel Specs (If Known)

  • Diameter (e.g. 20 inches)
  • Width (e.g. 10.5J)
  • Offset / ET (e.g. +35 or flush fitment request)
  • PCD (e.g. 5×114.3)
  • Center Bore (e.g. 66.6mm)

If you’ve used aftermarket wheels before, you can send the specs from the inner barrel or packaging.

✅ 3. Intended Application

  • Street / Daily use
  • Track / Racing
  • Off-road / Overland
  • Show car / Widebody project

This allows me to recommend the correct structure (1-piece, 2-piece, or 3-piece) and finish durability.

✅ 4. Style and Finish Preferences

  • Monoblock / Deep dish / Step lip
  • Brushed / Polished / Gloss black / Custom paint
  • Visible or hidden hardware (for 2/3-piece)

Feel free to send:

  • Reference photos (from Instagram, builds, or renders)
  • Design sketches or wheel face styles

We can match almost any style — but the clearer your vision, the faster we move.

✅ 5. Tire Setup (Optional but Helpful)

  • Planned tire size (e.g. 275/35R20)
  • Target stance: tucked, flush, or poke

This helps fine-tune width and offset to avoid rubbing or tire stretch.

✅ 6. Shipping + Documentation Info

  • Destination country and port or zip code
  • Invoice requirements (company name, tax ID, HS code, etc.)
  • Preferred incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, etc.)

What If You Don’t Know Some Specs?

No problem — I help clients like you every day.

Just send me:

  • Your car model + year
  • A side photo of the vehicle
  • If possible, a close-up of the current wheel + tire

From there, I can recommend a full wheel setup that fits your vehicle, your market, and your customer.
