Forged 2-Piece Wheels: One Centre, Many Fitments

Forged 2-piece wheels pair a centre machined from a forged 6061-T6 blank with a one-piece spun rim section — two components, one wheel. The centre carries the design and the fitment; the rim section sets the width and the lip. That pairing is the whole point: one centre design can live in different widths and lip depths, which is fitment freedom a monoblock can't offer and simplicity a 3-piece can't match. From 4 pcs, drawing approved before anything is made.

What is a forged 2-piece wheel?

Two components: a forged centre — the spokes, the fitment, the load path — and a one-piece rim section that forms lip and barrel as a single spun ring. Not a monoblock (that's one piece), not a 3-piece (that's a bolted lip-centre-barrel sandwich): the 2-piece is the middle path, and the middle is exactly where most builds live.

2-piece forged wheel cross-section: forged centre mounted in a one-piece rim section Side cross-section of a 2-piece wheel. The centre, shown solid, is machined from a forged 6061-T6 blank at the group plant and carries the design and the fitment. The rim section, shown as a gold dashed outline, is a one-piece spun component bought from a specialist plant and inspected twice. Pairing one centre with different rim widths and lip depths is what gives the 2-piece its fitment flexibility. Fitment flexibility

One centre design pairs with different rim widths and lip depths — a staggered set shares its face, and a brand can run one design across many fitments. The fitment guide shows how to measure yours.

The lip, without the sandwich

Stepped and deep-lip profiles come from the rim section — the classic look, with fewer joints than a full 3-piece assembly.

A monoblock's heart

The centre is machined from the same forged 6061-T6 blanks as our monoblocks — >70% of the material removed, ~0.02" per cut — so the part that carries the load is pure forged grain.

Who makes which half — said plainly

The centre is machined from a forged blank at our group's plant. The rim section is a spun component bought from a specialist plant — spinning rims is a different business from machining centres, and we say so instead of implying one roof does everything. Both halves are inspected twice: once by whoever made them, once by us before assembly.

Assembly happens in-house, and the joining specification is part of the drawing you approve — like the offset, the bore and the load rating, it is agreed on paper before it exists in metal. Every assembled wheel then passes the second inspection: 100% runout under 0.01", ±0.05 mm key dimensions, serial engraved. The full system is on quality control; the full supply-chain map is on About.

Which construction fits your build? Pick the monoblock for minimum weight and the simplest ownership; pick the 2-piece for one design across many fitments and the lip look; pick the 3-piece when the lip must be deep, bolted, and replaceable. Forged 2-piece wheels FAQ

What is a forged 2-piece wheel?

A wheel built from two components: a centre machined from a forged 6061-T6 blank, and a one-piece spun rim section forming lip and barrel as a single ring. The centre carries design and fitment; the rim section sets width and lip depth. It sits between the monoblock and the 3-piece — a forged centre with rim flexibility.

How are your 2-piece wheels assembled?

Centre and rim section are joined and assembled in-house, and the joining specification is part of the drawing you approve before production — agreed on paper first, like everything else about the wheel. The assembled wheel then passes the second inspection: 100% runout under 0.01" and ±0.05 mm key dimensions.

Who makes the rim section?

A specialist plant — spinning rim sections is a different business from machining forged centres, and we say so openly. The centre is machined at our group's plant; the rim section is bought in and inspected twice, once by its maker and once by us before assembly.

2-piece vs 3-piece — what's the difference?

A 3-piece bolts a separate lip and barrel around the centre: deep bolted-lip styling and a replaceable lip. A 2-piece uses a one-piece rim section: fewer joints, simpler assembly, and the stepped or deep-lip look without the full sandwich. Maximum rebuildability → 3-piece; the cleaner middle path → 2-piece.

Can 2-piece wheels have a deep dish or stepped lip?

Yes — lip depth comes from the rim section and is chosen on your drawing. The classic pairing is a painted or brushed centre with a polished lip; note polished ships bare, with no clear coat, and needs sealing and care.

What's the MOQ and lead time?

4 pcs — one set, mixed sizes and offsets accepted. Samples 10–15 working days; production 20–30 after drawing approval; +5 brushed/polished/two-tone; +15 PVD chrome. Worldwide on EXW, FOB or CIF under HS 8708.70.

One face. Your fitments. On paper first.

Send size, PCD, ET, CB, quantity and finish — front and rear can differ. Pricing and a drawing come back, the joining spec and lip depth included; nothing is made until you approve it. From 4 pcs, inspected twice, worldwide.
