Forged 3-Piece Wheels: The Wheel You Can Rebuild
Forged 3-piece wheels are built from three components — a forged centre, an outer lip and an inner barrel — assembled into one wheel. That construction buys you two things nothing else offers: any width and lip depth from the same centre design, and repairs that cost a part instead of a wheel. Custom-built to your spec, 15–26", assembled and 100% runout tested in-house, MOQ 4 pcs.

What is a 3-piece forged wheel?
Three parts, three jobs. The centre carries the load and the design — machined from a forged 6061-T6 blank. The outer lip sets the face depth and the look. The inner barrel sets the width and clears the brakes. Because each is a separate component, the wheel's width, dish and lip depth are configuration choices, not design constraints — and each part can be replaced on its own.
| Monoblock | 2-Piece | 3-Piece | |

Why choose 3-piece — and why not
Repairs cost a part, not a wheel
A kerbed lip or dented barrel is replaced individually, made to measurements, while the centre — the expensive, load-bearing, engraved part — lives on. On a monoblock, that same kerb is a much bigger conversation.
Width and dish, to order
The same centre design builds a 9" square set for one car and an 12" deep-dish rear for another. Staggered and mixed-width orders are normal here, not exceptions — all inside the 4 pcs MOQ.
The two-tone canvas
A polished or contrast lip against a coloured face is the classic 3-piece signature. Finish logic, lead-time adders and the polished-ships-bare honesty are on finishes.
And the honest why-not: three components and assembly hardware weigh more than one continuous piece, and cost more to build. If minimum unsprung mass is your whole brief, the monoblock page will serve you better — we would rather point you there than sell you the wrong construction.
Who makes which part — and who answers for all three
A 3-piece wheel is honest about being an assembly, so we are honest about the assembly line behind it. The centre is machined from a forged 6061-T6 blank on 3–5 axis CNC at our group's plant. The lip and barrel are spun rim sections from specialist plants — the same sources behind our replacement lips & barrels line — inspected once by their maker and again by us. The assembly, the second inspection and the 100% runout test happen in-house, because on a multi-piece wheel, the runout of the assembled wheel is the number that actually reaches your car.
Every finished wheel is engraved with its serial, size, ET, CB and max load, tied to a QC record — the whole system is on quality control. Three parts, three makers, one name answering for the wheel: ours.
Already running 3-piece wheels? The repair line is open
We supply replacement lips and barrels not only for our own wheels but for multi-piece wheels from BBS, Work, OZ and most other makers — made to measurements, matched to your existing halves. One honest caveat before you order a single part from overseas: international freight, clearance and duties are charged per shipment, and on one lip they routinely cost more than the lip. The maths, the measuring guide and the consolidation workaround are on lips & barrels.
Forged 3-piece wheels FAQ
What is a forged 3-piece wheel?
A wheel assembled from three components: a forged centre disc, an outer lip and an inner barrel. The centre is machined from a forged 6061-T6 blank; the lip and barrel are spun rim sections. Separate parts mean the same centre design builds many widths and lip depths — and a damaged lip or barrel is replaced individually instead of scrapping the wheel.
Should I choose 3-piece or monoblock?
Monoblock for minimum weight and maximum stiffness — one continuous piece, nothing to work loose. 3-piece for serviceability and configuration freedom: deep dish looks, width to order, and kerb damage that costs a lip instead of a wheel. An equivalent monoblock is normally lighter and less expensive — the comparison table above is the whole decision.
Can a damaged 3-piece wheel be repaired?
Yes — that's the construction's defining advantage. A kerbed lip or dented barrel is replaced as a part while the centre lives on. We supply replacements for our wheels and for BBS, Work, OZ and most other multi-piece makers. Caveat: freight on a single part often costs more than the part — consolidate through a dealer where you can.
Are 3-piece wheels heavier than monoblock?
Typically yes — three components plus hardware weigh more than one continuous piece of the same design. That's physics, not a defect; the extra parts buy rebuildability and lip-depth freedom. Chasing minimum unsprung mass? Read the monoblock page instead.
What sizes and fitments are available?
15–26" diameters and 5–16" widths across our range, with 3-piece covering the wide, deep-dish end especially well. Offset engineered per vehicle, centre bore machined to your hub with no spigot rings, everything fixed on a drawing you approve before anything is cut. Mixed sizes in one 4 pcs order accepted.
How long does a custom 3-piece order take?
Samples 10–15 working days; production 20–30 after drawing approval; +5 for brushed, polished or two-tone — the classic contrast-lip look — and +15 for PVD chrome; +5 in peak season. Every wheel ships serial-engraved with its QC record, worldwide on EXW, FOB or CIF.
Three parts. Any width. One name answering for it.
Send size front & rear, PCD, ET, CB, finish and quantity — pricing and a drawing come back, nothing is cut until you approve it, and the wheels arrive assembled, 100% runout tested and serial-engraved. From 4 pcs, worldwide.
